SISTER GIRL MOTIVATION: Forgiveness in the Garden

Getting on my knees
Planting seeds for those in need
Isn’t always comfortable, but God has a plan
A divine destination and it’s a blessing, if I can
Just wrap my head around all God is doing
Door after door, change after change, I’m moving
Don’t always want to get in the dirt
Planting seeds many times makes me hurt
But God has a plan, a divine destination
And it’s a blessing, if I can
Just accept the blessings the Lord has laid in store for me
Exceeding and abundantly
Can’t say I won’t have to d… Continue

And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. (1 Timothy 6: 9-10)

Competition seems to be the driving force of our society; as a result success is often defined by our ability to “beat” our opponent.

Empowered to Prosper as Parents

Empowered to Prosper in Parenting
By: Cheryl Lacey Donovan

Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

Empowered to prosper what a wonderful title!

When I was a young single mother it was the empowered to prosper mentality that saw me through.

Being a parent isn’t easy. Add being a teenager and a single mother to the mix and it can quickly become an equation for disaster. But contrary to popular belief children do come with an instructio… Continue

Is It Cold In Here?

I returned home one night from a late meeting. My family was still awake and enjoying time together. As I took off my coat, I noticed that it was very cold in the house. So I asked, “Why is it so cold in here?” They seemed uninterested as if they hadn’t noticed. The thermostat read fifty- eight degrees. I have programmed the thermostat to go down during certain times of the day, but fifty-eight degrees is cold!

Sure enough, our furnace was not working. But, what I found interesting is my family… Continue
