It's almost fall. We're settling into the back-to-school routine and trying to balance it all. But how do we?

How do you keep it all together? How do you make time for you, for exercise, for kids and homework, for a nutritious dinner, for recreation, for hubsand/wife, etc?

Have a few tips you can share with the rest of us? Have a special challenge you're faced with?

Let's talk...

I really don't know. But I have a great GOD and good friends. Thank you JESUS. I know I can't do it all myself. I get a lot of help!

Prioritize!!!! Count your blessings and name them ONE by ONE. And Make your Number Ones first priority, number twos, threes and fours etc. Don't let your Threes become Ones. And of course "Acknowledge God in ALL THINGS and he will direct your path." Stay Balanced.

i)Create a schedule and stick to it.

-Certain things have a fixed timeframe: work, school, practice, etc. Find a time for other things and put it on the schedule as well: homework, play time, study time, etc.

ii)Share the work.

-When I notice folks that have households that are out of kilter, they generally don't have the best communication or the best division of responsibilities.

iii)Take care of mind/body.

-You can't give your best if you are not your best. Keep the company of positive and proactive people. Read for purpose and pleasure. Plan your relaxation so that you are sure it is not overlooked. Think about your 5 closest friends. They are a reflection of you. If your friends are generally not happy people, you probably aren't either. If your friends aren't wealthy, you probably aren't either. If your friends have tummies hanging over their pants, flabby arms and legs, and poor eating habits, you probably do as well.

iv)Give back.

-Giving back keeps you grounded, helps you appreciate what you have, and it models good behavior for our youth.
