Defining Intentional Parenting
As I describe in my upcoming book, Intentional Parenting is about determining what you want your kids to know and experience and then charting a course to get them there. It’s about being intentional with every word, action and activity so that all lead in the direction you want to go. Intentional parenting is the opposite of doing whatever comes naturally; it’s the opposite of improvising or being spontaneous, unplanned, amibiguous, or accidental.

What Intentional Parenting is Not
Intentional Parenting is not about being a perfect parent or raising perfect kids.

The Goal of the Intentional Moms Group
What I'd like to do with this group is facilitate a bi-weekly discussion that guides us through the ten Intentional Parenting Parameters--resulting in our own Intentional Parenting plan for getting our children from where they are, to where we want them to be.

This group is a spin off of two fantastic meetings we had locally where we talked about the concept of Intentional Parenting. When we all began to share our challenges and our ideas, we quickly discovered that among us, we held the solutions for most of the difficulties we commonly share. It was very exciting--as well as encouraging and affirming. (Photos below).
